That is why she is supported by the ACORN affiliated Working Families Party. Her conservative opponent can win this seat. Dede and her Dem opponent are far to the left of most voters. Supporting militant gays means supporting higher taxes, bigger government, thought crime legislation, and the nanny state. Until the Republicans rid themsleves of big spending, pork barreling, big government politicians who claim to be moderates or practical, then what is the point of having a political party that claims to be conservative. The problem with the Republicans is not that the stand on principle but that they always fail to implement any of the principles. Until the Republicans rid themsleves of big spending, pork barreling, big government politicians who claim to be moderates or practical, then what is the point of having a political party that claims to be conservative.
